So about a year and a half ago, I was scheming / yearning for something totally different. I’d been riding fully suspended rigs for the past 20+ years or so, and felt it was time for a drastic change. Over the past few years, the thought of a fatty looked fun, so I said to myself, “why the hell not?,” let’s do it!
To fund this beast, I had to let one go from the stables. Adios I said, to my over-kill of an enduro do-it-all, Yeti ASR-7. You were fun in Oregon, but too much in Tennessee!
Anyhow, cue the Surly Wednesday.
After a slow burn of a build for which seemed like the longest 4 months of my life; between frame delays, waiting on parts to come in, and last minute hub swaps, it finally came together.
I set this beast up as a single speed, because you know, why not?!
Essentially, this bike just handles everything I throw at it, all whilst wearing a ginormous shit-eating grin on my face.
Thus far over the past year, the Surly Wednesday has served as my trail slayer, work commuter, and most recently, a fat-assed gravel muncher. Heh!
It truly is, a bike built for badassery.
Enjoy some shots of my Wednesday below.
